This work in progress is a collaboration with Dmytro Ostapchuk, a researcher at VoxUkraine and an editor of DataVox. We ask why do Ukrainian deputies collaborate (or not). One of the theories states that collaboration is a result of homophily. We draw on a new dataset on legislative collaboration in Ukraine from November 2014 to August 2015 in order to test this theory. Our QAP regressions suggest that homophily does not influence collaboration in cosponsorship, however it has a strong impact on co-voting .
